Christmas Eve.
It’s Christmas Eve! To start off, I have two bits of good news regarding school (because I apparently have no life outside of it): GOOD NEWS #1: I finally got on the wait-list for the Chinese Foreign Policy… and for the discussion section that I wanted. The downside is that I was sent to the bottom of the wait-list (ie. #9 out of 9). Ah well. At least I have a chance now. If I...

中国历史.
I recently received one of the required books for my Chinese history class next semester; it’s titled “The Daily Life in China on the Eve of the Mongol Invasion”.  The book discusses social hierarchy, the arts, marriage, birth, family, housing, COOKING, etc during the last years of the Song Dynasty. I’m actually sort of looking forward to this class. Oddly enough,...

Fall's End.
On Tuesday, I spent 3.5 hours at my **NEW** (yes, the caps-locks and asterisks are necessary) favorite studying place: the second floor of the Education-Psychology library in Tolman Hall. I had about 6 hours to spare in between my 8am final and my 5pm final (i.e. I had 1 hour for lunch and 5 hours to push out material from my East European politics final and cram in the Korean stuff). The final...

A little over 48 hours left.
My week of misery is almost over! DEAD week has been excruciatingly long. I’ve been doing almost nothing aside from finals preparation (and yet, I still haven’t read all of my semester readings). I feel like I should have been done with finals, like, two days ago. Last night I had a dream that we were being invaded by Russia and North Korea. I was asked by the government to identify...

Some Thoughts 12/12/2009
+ I love today’s weather. And yesterday’s. And tomorrow’s. + Chocolate chip brownies and M&M cookies. + I want to own a bakery someday. The menu will consist of everything I’ve drawn on the margins of my notes. My sketches WILL be worth something someday! + Watching Paula Deen’s cooking show makes me feel warm, safe, and fuzzy inside. Like blankets and green...

Summer Sessions.
The schedule is up. This summer, I’ll be taking Political Psychology in session A and Politics of India in session D. I’m really looking forward to Poli-Psych because I had the professor last summer for poli sci 3 (research methods course) and she was awesomeeee! I got an A and I learned a lot— usually, its one or the other.. and usually, it’s the other. :) If I...

Letter From The Past.
“Dear FutureMe, 10 more days of class. 15 days until Christmas. :) These things are always full of hopes. Be happy in the future, okay? Christina. “ I sent this letter to myself (through futureme.org) on August 31, 2008— over a year ago. I was suppose to receive it on December 10, 2008, not December 10, 2009. But I’m glad that I made the mistake and set the...
